Peer Advisory Groups
Posted on August 23, 2013 at 11:35 PM |
Why are there no peer advisory groups for businesses on Kaua’i? They seem to be popular in other parts of the country and there was an article in the Costco Connection last year that pointed out the benefits to a business owner. See article at: What is it about Kaua'i that has kept them from starting here? |

I have participated in one on the mainland and found it to be a very worthwhile experience that helped my business to grow. I don't know why there are none here...

I have been in business for 37 years. In my field (financial services) professional organizations used to provide the framework for peer advisory groups. I remember how important it was to belong to these groups and how they provided the sympathetic support so necessary to remain in business. Many opportunities for creating even more specific and formalized peer groups were encouraged and taken advantage of. Presently, ALL of these professional organizations are struggling to maintain membership numbers to stay viable. The need for the accountability and shared knowledge remains, but the forums may be shifting to smaller, more specific groups as mentioned in the article. Kauai may have an inherent negative bias against such groups, as the geographic diversity necessary just doesn't exist on the island, and sometimes, in Hawaii. We are a small state, and and even smaller island, so there will continue to be guarded participation, which may be counter-productive to the continued viability of the Peer Advisory Group.

Mahalo for your thoughts Nolan. Do you think that the small size of the business community on Kauai could work as an incentive to motivate us to help each other? I hear a lot of talk about Kauai becoming a self sustaining economy but wonder if that can ever happen if we don't work together.
Do you think peer advisory groups work better if the members are all from the same industry or if they are made up of a cross section from different sectors of the economy?

Is Seatgeek Legit, Risk-free and Trusted?
We use SeatGeek for events from baseball games to live shows and plays. It is an aggregator meaning they don't honestly provide something but, alternatively, they display screen the cost of tickets from various third-party sellers expenses bundled all in one area. It is actually an impressive solution to - in a look - see pricing from a bunch of resources.
Find the most affordable listing on SeatGeek https://sites.google.com/site/legitticketsites/seatgeek-reviews then head to eBates to find out if you can get further cash again. One instance is if the most affordable tickets are on Scorebig.com you possibly can log in via eBates to purchase the tickets from Scorebig and obtain 6% back. Seatgeek Legit, Safe and sound and Solid?
Why endure a third occasion ticket broker for a indicate available? For anyone who is inquiring about the Radio Town Xmas Spectacular with the Rockettes just go direct to Ticketmaster just where you may see every last seat around with the amount you should shell out. Check first of all on Playbill, Theatermania, or Broadwaybox to check out if a discount code is on the market for your overall performance you like and enter it on Ticketmaster. By doing this the only thing more you fork out is Ticketmaster's support fee, which can't be prevented for virtually any by going online transaction.

Voice Broadcasting software makes it simple for business owners if they wish to announce new products, promote a sale, issue service reminders or to thank their clients for their ongoing business. How does it work? All you need is a pre-recorded outstanding outbound greeting and data.
